Factors Influencing the Level of Benefits Derived from Social Group Participation

This research empirically examined factors influencing the level of benefits derived from social group membership in Eastern Wollega Zone, Ethiopia. Methodologically study used an explanatory design. Quantitative data were gathered 490 rural households Agricultural Growth Program (AGP) targeted districts using a multi-stage sampling technique. Multiple imputation techniques are to deal with missed observations. An ordered logistic regression model is employed evaluate predictors membership. The econometric results identified nine variables as group. significant marital status (p<0.05), education farming (p<0.01), mixed livestock production trust index decision making (p<0.05) and labor contribution (p<0.05). However, most insignificant i.e. crop production, age, gender, farm size, heterogeneity index, diversity cash meeting attendance (not at less than 5% but 10%) very important contributing scarce literature related participation expected support decision-makers local level, federal government higher ministries, policymakers by providing empirical evidence on affecting participation.
